Spark Welcomes New Executive Director!

We are kicking of 2021 with some exciting news. On behalf of the team and Board at Spark we are delighted to announce that a new Executive Director, Jennifer Staley, will lead Spark and the Rochester community into a new era of connections and growth.

Jennifer is a Nonprofit and Development professional with broad experience spanning building creative partnerships, facilitating educational and outreach programs and building the relationships that strengthen communities. She also has worked as a Public Speaker and Author, empowering both youth and adults to use experiences to create their best lives.

Jennifer serves on many local and regional boards including the Red Wing School District Advisory Committee, Red Wing Montessori and Hope Coalition in the Red Wing Community where she was the Director of Development and Outreach and Education for The Sheldon Theatre.

Jennifer brings these experiences along with her skills educating and empowering youth to the strategic growth and optimization of Spark. She is dedicated to the clear and bold vision for Sparks’ future enriching young learners through interactive experiences through the joy of play, the power of learning and the sense of community.

As we welcome Jennifer, we would also like to express our utmost gratitude to Beth Sherden. Beth has played a critical role in designing and executing Spark’s business and growth model. We are thankful for her dedication to Spark since 2017. Through her leadership and dedication to this organization, she helped to transform Spark into the vibrant place of community it is today. Her vision of leadership was paramount to the successful transition to our new location.

Many of you have been great friends, collaborators and supporters of Spark! Over the years. Please know that we deeply appreciate your support, encouragement, and investment in making this transition a positive one. As always, we welcome any questions you might have and please stay in touch with us about the work we are doing to support children and families in our area.
