We are here for everyone to play

Sensory Accomodations

SPARK is a fun and exciting place, but that comes with a lot of stimulation! We recognize that it can get loud and overwhelming fast.

The front desk has sensory bags available if you need accommodation to play safely and successfully.

Each bag has:

  • Noise Reducing Headphones

  • Cotton Gloves

  • Sunglasses

  • Fidgets

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle on the floor, take a trip to our Imagination Station for an art activity. It is a separate room where the glass doors can be closed if needed, the music can be turned off, and it is less stimulating for calm play.

SPARK also has a quiet room available next to the Air Wall. It is a separate room with a lamp, books, and rocking chair. The lights turn off and it can be a space to take a break and regulate before going back to play.

If you are wondering when it is a less busy time to visit, weekday afternoons are typically less busy and noisy. We also offer Discovery Play on the Third Tuesday of every month from 5:00- 7:00 PM. Discovery Play is free for families who need quieter music, lower lights, and fewer people to learn and play at SPARK.

While you prepare for your visit to SPARK feel free to print off this Social Story and List of Exhibits with pictures to read in advance.
